I could feel his aura, red and intimidating, pulling me closer. They always told me curiosity killed the cat, but, YOLO. With those thoughts, I knew it wasn't a good idea. But as I stepped into the charred black area where he had landed, I also knew, I didn't care. I pulled out my daggers, taking a confident stance, I leaned on the closest standing tree.
He was huddled in a mess of red and black, slowly gaining strength. He slowly started to get up, first his naked torso, and then all of him. The mess of red and black only confirmed my thoughts when he stood; he was a fallen angel. His wings spread out widely, giving me a full view of the red and black and pattern.
"Like what you see?" I heard him ask out loud, his voice strong and deep despite his long journey down. It was also mocking.
"I've seen better." I replied off-handily.
